			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><a href="http://www.bostondynamics.com/">Boston Dynamics</a> has developed <a href="http://www.bostondynamics.com/content/sec.php?section=robotics">Big-Dog</a> &#8211; a 4-legged robot. They received US$ 10 Million in funding from <a href="http://www.darpa.mil/">DARPA</a> and are putting it to good use. See below the &#8216;evolved&#8217; BigDog robot video &#8211; its spooky.</p>
<p>Watch it climb up hills, walk through the snow, slip (but not fall) on ice, and recover from being nearly kicked over.  Also, other models will climb rubble or jump over obstacles. This version can carry about 340lbs of weight, which is nearly 3 times its previous capacity.</p>
