Need a licensing business plan?

A licensing business plan written for the application, not the investor

A regulator reads a business plan to decide whether you understand what you are asking to be licensed for. We write the plan around your operating model, your target licence and the financial projections the application requires.

Is this your situation?

01

You are preparing an MSB, MTL, EMI, API or VASP application and have been asked for a business plan.

02

Your current document is a fundraising deck and your adviser has told you it will not survive review.

03

You know your model well and cannot find the time or the format to put it on paper the way a reviewer expects.

What you get

  • A written business plan structured for the specific application you name.

  • Operating model, products, customers, geographies, flows and counterparties, described in the language reviewers use.

  • Governance, staffing, compliance and risk sections aligned to the licence type.

  • A financial-projection section to an agreed scope (years, scenarios, assumptions listed).

  • Two revision rounds after your review, within the agreed scope.

How it works

  1. 1

You send the form with the application type and jurisdiction.

  2. 2

We scope the plan and quote. You decide.

  3. 3

We interview you, draft, and send a full draft for review.

  4. 4

Two revision rounds, then final files in Word and PDF.

What this is not

  • This is not a fundraising deck, a marketing document or a feasibility study.
  • This is not for a business that has not chosen its licence type and jurisdiction. The plan is written to the application; there has to be one.
  • This is not legal advice and it is not the application itself. Your counsel or licensing adviser files.

Who you are dealing with

Faisal Khan LLC is a consultancy and brokerage in cross-border payments, MSB banking, licensing and compliance. The firm is based in Istanbul and works remotely with clients in the United States, the United Kingdom, the European Union, Canada, the UAE and selected Asian markets.

The firm does not open accounts, issue licences or hold funds. It searches, matches, documents and introduces. The provider or the regulator makes the decision. That is the honest shape of this work, and it is stated here so you know what you are buying.

Licensing business plan questions

  1. What should a business plan for a money transmitter license include?

The operating model, flows, products, customers, geographies, governance, the compliance programme, financial projections, capital and the controls that match the licence. Requirements differ by regulator, so the plan is structured to the application you name rather than to a generic list.

  2. How long should a licensing business plan be?

As long as the reviewer needs and no longer. We do not give a page count. A plan that answers the reviewer's questions in order gets read. One that pads does not.

  3. How much does a licensing business plan cost?

Quoted per scope: application type, jurisdiction and the financial model agreed. Our advisory pricing is published on faisalkhan.com, alongside our wider licensing services.

  4. Can I use my investor pitch deck as a regulatory business plan?

No. A deck is written for an investor who wants growth. A regulatory business plan is read by a reviewer who wants to know that you understand the obligations you are asking to take on. Different reader, different questions.

  5. How many years of financial projections do regulators want?

It varies by regulator and by licence type. We agree the number of years and the scenarios with you at scoping, based on the application. A business plan for an EMI application is scoped differently from one for a state MTL, so we confirm the projection requirement before drafting.

Tell us the application. We will scope the plan and quote it.
