Pre-Engagement Questionnaire: The Questions I Need Answered (FK-V011, Faisal Khan LLC, May 2026 edition) is an eight-page intake document sent after an initial call, built on the premise that "before I can tell you whether I can help and what that would look like, I need the structure written down rather than described."
The most useful mechanic in the document is Question 4's five-word taxonomy for any partner, sponsor or agent principal carrying a licence on your behalf: Live, Signed, Verbal, Discussion, or Nothing. The guide is direct about why the distinction matters — "on calls, partners often get described as if the deal is done... everything I recommend next depends on which of those five it is." A parallel instruction runs through every section: declined applications, closed accounts and partners who went quiet are treated as the most useful information a client can supply, not a mark against them.
What the questionnaire covers:
- Flow of funds and jurisdictions — a hand-drawn diagram showing every account and party the money touches, plus every country involved, even ones that never touch the funds
- Licensing status — every licence held, its issuing regulator, and the stage of any pending application
- Transaction type and volume — B2B, B2C, C2B or P2P split, current and 12-month-forward volume, with pre-launch figures labelled as forecasts
- Payment rails per leg — SWIFT, local clearing, mobile money, cards or stablecoins, with "undecided" accepted as a legitimate answer
- The engagement ask — new licence, purchase of a licensed entity, sponsorship, banking, corridor partner or advisory, ranked by priority
- A seven-item pre-send checklist before returning the answers
Responses may be sent as bullets, a voice note or short video, and are treated as confidential; completing the questionnaire creates no engagement or advisory relationship on its own.
