How long does it take to sign the contract with the Principal License Holder providing us with regulatory coverage?

The question in full

A Principal License Holder provides regulatory coverage for fintech companies operating under licensed financial institutions. The process includes due diligence, contract negotiation, and technical onboarding. NBFI setups are typically faster, while banking institutions require longer approval and integration timelines.

Answer

This depends on how ready YOU are. With a NBFI (Non-Banking Financial Institution) the due diligence parts takes between 2-3 weeks, and contract negotiation and flow of funds, etc. can be done in parallel. It takes between 3-4 weeks to get an agreement signed.

With a banking financial institution, the numbers/timetable above are easily doubled.

To go live, depends on your technical prowess and readiness. Usually clients go-live in about 3-4 weeks after that with NBFIs and between 6-8 weeks with an FI.
